Viña Sánchez de Loria
Aconcagua
The Sánchez de Loria family descends from the Spanish Don José Teodoro Sánchez de Loria, who arrived in Chile in 1785, appointed by the King of Spain, to exercise the position of Prosecutor of the Royal Court. Don Enrique Sánchez de Loria Faulkner founded the winery in 1890 convinced of the great quality of the Aconcagua Valley Terroir. He planted vines of Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc and Torontel, making them one of the oldest vines in Aconcagua and Chile. Since then the vineyard has remained in the family, who have known how to maintain the values of originality, quality and tradition from generation to generation, positioning their wines in the highest quality standards, which pleases the most demanding palates.
The bunches are handpicked according to their quality and condition. Then the grapes are harvested by hand and harvested in boxes of no more than 10 kgs, so the fruit does not squeeze or lose its juices. This type of harvest gives us an advantage in quality over the harvest carried out by machinery. The labor force comes from the Aconcagua Valley itself. The vineyard's production is limited by our own vine plantation, which, after a dedicated harvest and manual selection, allows us to bottle no more than 100,000 bottles each year. Sánchez de Loria is an exclusive wine that is difficult to find on the market.
