Venture Vienna is a tour company that specialises in active tours, with a focus on wine hikes and kayak trips. We began our journey into Austrian Wine back in the summer of 2018 in the beautiful Wachau Valley. After the brutal task of sampling A LOT of world-class Gruner Veltliner and Riesling while there, our founder discovered the delightfuly subtle and earthy Neuburger grape and thus made it his aim to discover what other unique varietals and regions this small alpine republic was hiding from the wider world of wine! After sampling Rotgipfler and Zierfandler while hiking in the wonderful Vienna Woods, Venture Vienna was born. Austrian wine remains relatively undiscovered and underappreciated, yet from the Wachau Valley to Burgenland, the care taken by Austrian vintners to produce small-batch wines of outstanding quality is really rather special.
We aim to showcase the very best in farm-to-table wine tours with our tour through the wonderful Vienna Woods of Lower Austria's Thermal Region, visiting a local vintner along the way for an intimite Q&A and wine tasting.
