Wine and High Country winery experiences & guided wine tours

In this behind the scenes self-guided tour of the vineyard, you will be welcomed by a Feathertop team member who will share with you some of the family’s favourite picnic spot locations. Once you have selected your picnic spot, you are free to wander or cycle around the vineyard as your vineyard service angels get to work and take care of setting up your picnic for you. They will then deliver a ready made hamper, pour your wine and give you some vineyard insight and secrets! This experience is suitable for hybrid – mountain bikes and is not on sealed roads. You can BYO bike or bike hire is available from us.

Have you ever wanted to learn more about how our estate grown grapes are turned into beautifully hand crafted wines? Would you like to improve your wine knowledge? Then join us for a Vineyard & Winery Discovery Tour – your privately hosted and up close and personal experience that takes you to the inner sanctum of Feathertop! We start off by taking you to a special vantage point in the vineyard where we will introduce you to the varietal mix, our vineyard philosophy and any current operations happening on the day. We’ll give you an overview of the winery's 30 year history and then take you behind the scenes in our winery. Here we will explain the wine crushing operations, wine making philosophy, and even tasting of some tank samples (depending on availability). Your tour finishes off with a wine tasting of our current release wines. If you are a Summit Cru Wine Club Member, then you will be privy to taste bottled, unreleased wines (if available) as well!

In a luxurious and stylish 1973 Rolls Royce Corniche convertible, visit up to four Rutherglen wineries with an informative and engaging hostess.   Delve into Rutherglen's 160-year-old history including James Halliday five star wineries and new exciting upcoming venues.  Get the insiders perspective and enjoy the back stories, architecture and hidden secrets.

Ever wondered how a wine blend is created? Discover some of Brown Brothers’ classic wine varietals like shiraz, merlot or cabernet, which have been extracted straight from the wine barrel or tank by our winemakers. Taste the diverse flavours and experiment with different combinations to create your own unique blend of wine.  Then bottle and label your unique creation for a one of a kind souvenir to take home. ** Please note: Tour element of this experience requires you to wear enclosed and flat footwear (no heels, thongs, sandals etc). This a safety requirement on entering our working winery.
