Tasting Notes (Fabien Teitgen, Technical Director)
“A beautiful, clear, and bright salmon-pink color. The nose is already very expressive, dominated by red berries (red currant, raspberry), floral accents, and citrus notes (pink grapefruit, lemon blossom), accompanied by an elegant touch of spice.
The palate is direct and vibrant, full of energy. It then reveals a rich and smooth character, perfectly balanced with freshness and liveliness. The finish is long, unveiling a pleasant texture and refined wine-like structure.
The aromatic profile on the palate balances intense red fruit and citrus notes with subtler, more complex nuances of white flowers (citrus blossoms) and gentle spices (fennel seed).
This Les Hauts de Smith Rosé 2024 is an outstanding rosé that combines impressive aromatic complexity with a lively, creamy mouthfeel — perfect for summer meals.”
Vinification
Produced through direct pressing. The grapes are hand-harvested, transferred to the press by gravity, and then manually sorted. A gentle and slow pressing is performed under inert gas. The must is clarified for 24 hours at a low temperature, followed by vinification in tanks and barrels with aging on fine lees.
