Spanish winery experiences & tours

Spain is one of the largest wine-producing countries in the world, with a wide variety of wine regions and grape varieties. Some of the most well-known wine regions in Spain include:

  • Rioja: Located in the north of Spain, Rioja is known for producing high-quality red wines from Tempranillo grape variety, often aged in oak barrels.

  • Ribera del Duero: Also located in the north of Spain, Ribera del Duero is known for producing powerful red wines from Tinto Fino (also known as Tempranillo) grape variety.

  • Priorat: This wine region is located in Catalonia, in the north-east of Spain. It is known for producing full-bodied red wines, mostly made from Garnacha (Grenache) and Cariñena (Carignan) grape varieties

  • Rueda: This wine region is located in the north-west of Spain and is known for producing high-quality white wines from the Verdejo grape variety.

  • Sherry: This wine region is located in the south-west of Spain, in the province of Andalusia, and is known for producing fortified wines known as Sherry, made from the Palomino grape variety.

  • Penedès: This wine region is located in Catalonia and is known for producing sparkling wines, Cava, made mostly from the Xarel-lo, Macabeo and Parellada grape varieties.

  • La Mancha: This wine region is located in the center of Spain, and is known for producing large quantities of wine from various grape varieties, including Tempranillo, Garnacha, and Airen.

These are just a few examples of the many wine regions in Spain, each with its own unique terroir, grape varieties and wine-making traditions.
