Simpsons' Wine Estate is pleased and proud to have developed such a wonderful friendship and working partnership with the Michelin-starred restaurant, Hide and Fox, which is located in Saltwood, near Hythe, Kent.
Chef Patron, Allister Barsby, and fellow Owner, Alice Bussi, are joining us to present a delicious five course dinner, showcasing local ingredients and masterful cooking, coming together to create superb dishes, each perfectly paired with a different Simpsons wine.
Allister’s innovative take on classic British and European food is informed by a love of fresh seasonal produce, his roots on the Kent coast, and in-depth experience as an award-winning chef. Alice has made waves of her own both as a sommelier and manager, and together they have created Hide and Fox to deliver truly exceptional dining.
This exclusive event starts at 4pm, with your hosts from Simpsons’ taking you for a gentle stroll through the beautiful village of Barham to our nearby Roman Road Vineyard, where you will enjoy a glass of our award-winning sparkling wine, whilst hearing about the establishment of our Estate and special vineyard sites.
Once back at the Winery, you will be poured another exquisite sparkling wine from our range, accompanied by appetisers, whilst discovering more about the production of our high-quality English wines. Afterwards, we will adjourn to the atmospheric Press Barn, where Hide and Fox will present five exquisite dishes, each to be enjoyed with a paired wine from Simpsons’ Wine Estate.
