In 1984 Bruno Prats and Paul Pontallier, well known Agronomists Winemakers from the Bordeaux region, France, began to search in Chile for a high quality Terroir to create an original vineyard. To do this, they partner with a common friend, Felipe de Solminihac, a Chilean Winemaker Agronomist of French origin. In 1990 they acquired 18 hectares in the surroundings of the city of Santiago, at the foot of the Andes Mountains, in the “Quebrada de Macul”, in the historic heart of the Maipo Valley. The first plantations were made with vines of Bordeaux origin, present in Chile since the end of the 19th century. The wine cellar was completed in 1993. In January 2002 Ghislain de Montgolfier, Agronomist of the Champagne Region and an old friend of the founders, became the fourth partner, or as he says, recalling the novel by Alexandre Dumas, the fourth Musketeer.

Our winery was founded in 1993 by partners Jorge Fontaine Aldunate, owner of Hacienda El Principal, and Jean Paul Valette, French winemaker and former owner of the famous Premier Grand Cru Classé Château Pavie in Saint-Émilion. Their main objective was to produce a line of wines of the highest quality that would reflect both the spirit and typicality of the Chilean terroir, as well as the tradition and experience of the Valette family in the production of fine wines. The ¨El Principal¨ terroir, located at the foot of the Andes Mountains in the Maipo Andes Valley (D.O Maipo Andes) was the perfect place for his project; Its particular combination of climate, soils and altitude made it possible to produce wines with character, a sense of origin and extraordinary quality. The partners selected 54 hectares of the property to plant the Cabernet Sauvignon and Carmenere varieties. Ten years later, the first vintage of “El Principal” (1999), the iconic blend of the winery, was successfully launched on the market, being internationally recognized as one of Chile's Ultra Premium wines and confirming Chile's potential as a denomination of origin of luxury wines. In 2005, the German businessman and shipping company Jochen Döhle bought the entire vineyard and then partnered with the renowned Chilean family Said Handal, which acquired 50 percent of its property in 2013. At the end of 2018, the Said Handal family decided to acquire all the operations and thus implement a growth plan that allows the vineyard to take a new stage of viticultural, oenological and commercial development, consolidating the work of excellence in the production and sale of wines carried out by Döhle.

The history of two passions in a prestigious winegrowing area situated in the Maipo Valley. Our property gently ascends the lower slopes of a spur of the Andes Mountains. In these foothills, between 1992 and 1998, one hundred and fourty hectares of vineyards were planted, mainly with the reds Cabernet Sauvignon, Carménère, Syrah and Cabernet Franc; and the whites Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. Haras de Pirque’s name honors the country’s oldest thoroughbred breeding stud, founded in 1892.

We are a family made up of his parents Jorge and Anita and their 5 children, Jorge, Manuel, Cristóbal, Sebastián and Emilia. After decades of cultivating the land, producing almonds, among horses, geese, dogs, grandchildren, friends and farmers, the dream of transforming and preserving this fertile land which they have baptized as Solar de Huidobro. The Casablanca Valley is one of the most prestigious areas for the production of cold climate grapes. Located 70 km west of Santiago, it is less than 25 km from the Pacific Ocean. Thanks to the cold influence of the Humboldt Oceanic Current, which runs along the Chilean coast, in the mornings the mists and low temperatures allow the grapes to retain their fruity freshness and high acidity.In 1989, Thierry Villard founded in this Valley what will become considered the first boutique winery in Chile. For three decades Villard has been recognized as one of the best wineries in Casablanca. And for more than ten years, with a solidity typical of someone who knows in depth the characteristics of their territory and the terroir, the second generation of the family has innovated with new oenological techniques to create new super premium wines of great structure and elegance.

The Cúneo family, of Italian origin, founded Casas del Bosque in 1993 in the Casablanca Valley, located 70 kilometers from Santiago, the capital of Chile, and 30 kilometers from the port of Valparaíso, a UNESCO Cultural Heritage Site. The large and ancient forests of pine and olive trees, and some small white adobe houses, gave rise to the name “Casas del Bosque”. Today, the winery owns a unique 235-hectare vineyard, exclusively dedicated to the production of cold-climate varieties such as Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Noir and Syrah. Cabernet Sauvignon and Carmenere come from carefully managed vineyards in Maipo, Colchagua and Cachapoal. The annual production of Casas del Bosque reaches 1.2 million bottles of wine, mainly made with grapes from our vineyard, exporting 80% of the production to more than 50 markets, distributing the remaining 20% ​​in Chile. The soils of Casas del Bosque are of volcanic origin and were formed 110 million years ago under the Pacific Ocean and are its main asset. Compounds of shallow red clay on a decomposed granite substrate, they give the wines a unique flavor, characteristic of sea salt. Casas del Bosque is one of the most prestigious vineyards in the Casablanca Valley. In 2010, Le Winery Guide, Brazil, became “The Best Winery to Visit in Chile” and its Tanino restaurant was chosen as one of the best gastronomies by the Canadian magazine Wine Access. Later, in 2013 and 2014, in the United Kingdom the winery was recognized as “The Chilean Wine Producer of the Year” in the “International Wine & Spirits Competition”.

We are Marcos ATTILIO and Angela MOCHI, a Brazilian couple, both food engineers who have been in the wine business since 1999. In 2011, we left our country to build a dream in the Casablanca Valley: planting a small vineyard with 8 different varieties, including the very first Grenache in the Valley, and making cool-climate, high-quality wines on a human scale. We are proud to say that we are on the right path, being the wines recognized many times as some of the best in the country. Our hands are in every part of the process, from growing the vine to bottling. We advocate for sustainable practices and give examples by using solar energy, building with refurbished shipping containers, and using organic practices in the vineyard like composting the residues to turn them into fertilizers. We are also moving to lighter bottles in order to reduce our carbon footprint. We are firm believers that together we are stronger, and that's why we are proud members of MOVI and Casablanca OFF. A Landscaper and a Winemaker... We are a married couple, formed by a landscaper and a winemaker, who together with our children and in deep connection with the landscape that surrounds us, began the adventure of cultivating our own "small-scale garden vineyard" on the plot where we live. From the beginning, the great challenge and main emphasis of the project has been to discover, interpret and maximize the characteristics of this distinctive terroir to give life to wines that faithfully represent its origin. The vineyard is planted on the south west slope of Cerro Guanaco, 300 meters high, in the commune of Melipilla, on the most coastal edge of the Maipo Valley, offering a beautiful view of the Cholqui valley.

Viña Tres Palacios is a company founded in 1996 by Don Patricio Palacios D. and his wife Maria Inés Covarrubias. Together they took the commitment to carry out this adventure, and thus leave a legacy that rescues the essence of the family. Once they found this magical land almost 30 years ago, they decided to add an element that they consider fundamental: the course of time, respecting the pace of this activity. In 2020 Óscar Ormeño and Pablo Sanhueza joined the company, transforming it into an agricultural company, without ever leaving aside its family seal, in order to obtain the high quality product that today characterizes the wines of Viña Tres Palacios.

Marilú, founder, owner and winemaker of Casa Marin, always wanted to establish her winery in Lo Abarca, but had to face many challenges before she could achieve it due to the extreme weather, lack of water, and doubts from her peers in the industry. Despite all these difficulties, in 2000 Marilú became the only woman to be the founder, owner and oenologist of a winery in Chile. Thus creating a company whose wines have been recognized and awarded internationally, helping to position Chile as a producer of fine wines of high quality and high market value. In 2018 María Luz was chosen among the most influential women in the world of wine by the English magazine The Drinks Business and her wines have won numerous awards worldwide. Today, the second generation follows. His sons, Felipe Marín, oenologist and viticulturist at Casa Marin and Nicolás Marin, who manages all the operational and tourism part of the vineyard. Viña Valle Secreto is a project created in 2007 by two groups of investors linked to the food area. A family group around Antonio Puntí Ferrer and another linked to the family of Claudio Berndt Cramer, a few years later the American Richard Samale joins the society; they set themselves the objective of producing a wine with unmatched characteristics in a privileged place due to its climate, and benefits of its nature. Viña Valle Secreto is a boutique winery, located in Cachapoal Andes, one of the wine-growing areas of Chile that has burst onto the international market thanks to the exceptional quality and character of its wines. It is located in the Sixth Region of Chile, 132 km south from Santiago. Valle Secreto is projected over time as an innovative winery in the industry with the purpose of delivering to the final consumer a unique and different product, in which the own and distinctive characteristics of the valley where the grapes are grown and the wines are produced stand out. . We are oriented in obtaining high quality wines, managing to complement viticulture with tourism, unifying everything in the Valle Secreto facilities, mixing its modern locations with the romanticism and mystique of its church.

The Clos de Luz vineyard grows its grapes in the small Valley of Almahue (Cachapoal), where there is one of the oldest Carménère in Chile and probably in the world, planted by our grandmother Luz in 1945. The grapes are grown by hand, the vines are not grafted, not clonal, each plant is unique and different, thus giving richness and complexity to our wines. It is a natural winemaking process. As a principle, at Clos de Luz we make wines using the ancient production techniques of the Almahue Valley. We privilege the use of used barrels in order to keep the fruit over the aromas of wood; We harvest earlier and do not use industrial yeasts to ferment the wines, only native yeasts. This is how we obtain fresher, more gastronomic wines.

Norwegian entrepreneur Alexander Vik set out to create an exceptional vineyard in 2004 to produce a unique wine. To achieve this goal and find the best terroir, they assembled a team of winemakers, climatologists, geologists, viticulturists and agronomists to conduct a search in South America. The choice of the best terroir and the optimal climatic conditions for viticulture led him to acquire 4325 hectares in Chile in 2006.

In the fields and wineries of Viña Ravanal there is a history of real passion for wine. His lands, which extend through the areas of Placilla and Manantiales, in the heart of the Colchagua valley, are revealed as a true wine heritage and are worked with special dedication under the watchful eye of their owners. In this lies one of the hallmarks that undoubtedly makes the difference. They are also distinguished by the rescue of a privileged terroir, given by centuries-old vineyards that almost remained forgotten until 1960. The credit goes undoubtedly to Mario Ravanal, founder of the winery, Agricultural Engineer and Winemaker, with studies in Chile and France, responsible for professionalizing the work in these terroirs, achieving efficient processes over time to obtain the best grapes: sauvignon blanc, chardonnay and semillon, in white; and merlot, syrah, cabernet franc, malbec, petit verdot, cabernet sauvignon and carménère, in red. As of today, the harvest of its vineyards - distributed over 120 hectares - makes it possible to produce one million liters of wine, a production that Viña Ravanal focuses mainly on abroad, exporting to more than 25 countries and its main destinations being the Asian markets, Brazil and Europe. Ravanal offers a complete line of fine wines, whose main difference comes from the delicate work of a family of winemakers. Each bottle reflects his passion and dedication, obtaining wines with expressive fruit, round with good body, which have matured in selected barrels to obtain greater complexity. The wide variety of wines deliver the inimitable flavor of the perfect combination between the oenological experience and family tradition that Viña Ravanal can exclusively offer.

Viña Maquis has been associated with the production of wines since the 18th century, a time when the vineyards belonged to the Jesuit congregation, Compañía de Jesús, located in the Colchagua Valley, which used the land for winemaking. During the 19th century Viña Maquis belonged to two former Presidents of Chile, Federico Errázuriz Zañartu and Federico Errázuriz Echaurrren, who organized cabinet meetings in this valley. So that the ministers could reach the sector, bridges were built with bricks, which are currently part of the cultural and historical heritage of the area. In 1916 Viña Maquis was acquired by the Hurtado family. Then in 1926-1927, Engineer Ignacio Hurtado, at only 23 years old, built the first wine-making and aging cellar in Viña Maquis. The winery, in force until today, started the production and commercialization of high-end wines. In 2002, after a few decades directing and designing the commercial strategy of the winery, the Hurtado family began the construction of a new wine-making and storage cellar. A state-of-the-art and sustainable winery, which facilitates the elaboration of wine so that it can express the best of each variety grown in the Colchagua Valley. Much of the winemaking process in Viña Maquis continues to be very artisanal and manual. The objective is that the grape is intervened as little as possible so that it can show its full potential through the care and professionalism that only the Viña Maquis team can deliver.

Many elements are required to produce a high quality wine, but undoubtedly one of the most important factors are the people behind it. ENCIERRA belongs to the Eyzaguirre Echenique family, former winemakers of the Colchagua Valley. María Ignacia Echenique, María Ignacia Eyzaguirre E and Juan Carlos Eyzaguirre E, aim to position ENCIERRA wines as one of the great wines of Chile, giving life to a different winemaking project with limited production. For this purpose, he has entrusted the Executive Management of the company to María Ignacia Eyzaguirre Agronomist -enologist from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. She is supported by Andrés Domínguez E. Commercial engineer, responsible for the financial and commercial area of the winery. ENCIERRA is advised by Didier Debono, Agronomist - winemaker from the University of Bordeaux.

A wine with soul. This is MontGras and this is how it has been forged since its inception with a clear objective: to consistently create world-class wines, from the best terroirs in Chile. The brothers Hernán and Eduardo Gras, gave life to the winery in 1993, combining cutting-edge technology with the talent and passion of a very special human team. Hernán's inspiration, with a long winemaking career in Canada, together with Eduardo's business vision, created the perfect combination, which has made MontGras one of the most important winegrowing groups in Chile, with a presence in the main valleys of the country. - Colchagua, Maipo and Leyda -, and a high participation in international markets.

Viu Manent is a Chilean winery owned by the Viu family. It was formed in 1935  when Miguel Viu García (a Catalan immigrant) and his two sons Agustín and Miguel Viu Manent founded Bodegas Viu in Santiago de Chile, dedicating themselves to the trade and packaging of wines for the local market under the brand “Vinos Viu”. In 1966, Miguel Viu Manent dreamed of making his own wines, which materialized when he acquired the Hacienda San Carlos de Cunaco in Colchagua, This old and traditional vineyard, had 150 hectares of old and noble French pre-philoxera vineyards, in addition to its winery and patronal house. There was a close relationship with this property since until then the wines made there were largely sold to Viu Wines.

Viña Las Pitras is a Chilean vineyard that belongs to the Balbontín family, founded in 1934 by Rafael Balbontín Fuenzalida who discovered on the terraces of the Teno River in the Curicó Valley the perfect climate and soil necessary to plant his first vines there, such as Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon. After a few years, his son, Juan Balbontín Labbé, continued with the expansion of the vineyards and the modernization of the old winery with state-of-the-art equipment and machinery necessary to produce high quality wines.  The winery has 3 main locations Las Pitras Estate: This sector is home to the oldest vineyards, the patronal house, administrative offices and winemaking cellar. The winemaking cellar is located next to Viña Las Pitras's old Patronal House, which is typical of the Chilean colonial era and is over 200 years old. This house is a tourist attraction of the winery, both for its beauty, good state of preservation and beautiful parks, as well as for being inhabited by the 3rd and 4th generation of the Balbontín family, who cordially welcome visitors. El Carmen Estate: A spectacular view of the valley accompanies these foothill vineyards that fall to the river, in the Majadilla sector (on the way to the coast from Curicó). Grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Carménère and Merlot produce a characteristic and emblematic wine. There is also the sales room located in the old patronal house of the estate. San Luis Estate: This third vineyard is located 2 km from the main Las Pitras estate. It is located 2 km from the main estate Las Pitras. Backed by a history of wine culture in Spain, Miguel Torres Chile arrived in the Curicó Valley in 1979 after searching for a new destination. Today, Miguel Torres Chile has focused his commitment on organic viticulture and Fair Trade certification in various wines. After a long search in various Chilean regions, François established his vineyards in 2000 in a virgin terroir, with poor soil and a healthy and balanced climate. At present, the winery has 28 hectares of vineyards and Lolol has the recognition of appellation of origin. The choice of this place has proven to be a success thanks to its climatic conditions and the terroir, of granite soils. The wines produced here have a unique personality.
